Manuscript/Proposal Evaluation:

Up to 25,000 words - $400.
Add $95 for every additional 12,500 words or portion thereof.

Complete Line Edit:

In order to establish a fixed price for all the work we would do for you, we will edit a 25-page sample of your manuscript, using a rate of $45 an hour.  The fixed rate for the entire manuscript is based on the amount of time that work takes.  A rough estimate of how much the fee to edit your manuscript might be can be obtained by multiplying $.06 by the number of words in the manuscript (e.g., 75,000 words = $4,500).  Most manuscripts will cost less to edit than this formula projects.  Very few cost more.  The cost will depend entirely upon how much work needs to be done to the manuscript in order to make it publishable.

Our guarantee: No AV editor will edit a manuscript that is not ready to be edited. If the editor who reads your work believes that it isn't close to being publishable, she'll tell you. She won't waste your money polishing words and sentences that might be cut in a revision.

Story Consultation:

Consultations will be billed at $60 per hour. First-time consults require a deposit in advance.
